Forster Talks Confirmed - Ipswich Town News
Joe Royle has confirmed that talks have taken place with striker Nicky Forster. The 31-year-old has turned down a new one-year deal at Reading and looks set to sign for the Blues, possibly as soon as this week.
Royle said: "We have spoken to Nicky and a couple of other players, but that's as much as I want to say for the time being."
Town look likely to offer the former Gillingham, Brentford and Birmingham man a two-year deal at Portman Road.
Elsewhere, former Burnley defender Mo Camara has returned from holiday and is set for talks with his agent. Town, Celtic and another unnamed English club are all interested in the Guinean, although the recent change of manager at Parkhead may rule the Scots out of the running.
Camara, 30 next Saturday, has turned down a new deal at Turf Moor and is available on a free transfer. Boss Joe Royle initially targeted the left-back before Christmas but Burnley boss Steve Cotterill wasn't interested. Camara confirmed last month that the Blues had spoken to his agent.
