Hungary Pre-Season? - Ipswich Town News
Town's preparations for 2005/06 could take the squad to Hungary for the annual pre-season tour. The Blues are still to make a decision on this summer's destination but have had an offer of two games against Hungarian sides.
The club usually makes an annual pilgrimage to Scandinavia, however, it appears that this year an alternative has been sought. Two matches in Germany during late July were originally planned but fell through.
We understand the Hungarian offer includes a game against a Budapest-based side and one against provincial club Diosgyor.
There is a possibility that there could be no tour this year if nothing is organised over the next couple of weeks. In which case the club is likely to add a couple more domestic fixtures to the pre-season programme.
