No Cup Venue Switch - Ipswich Town News
Reports tonight suggest that Morecambe are unlikely to want to switch the FA Cup tie to Portman Road. It seems likely that they will want to keep home advantage.
We're not sure of their capacity, however, the attendance for their Second Round match with Cambridge on Saturday was 3,427. Town should get 15% of the ground capacity which could cause allocation problems. Town have around 1000 Away Match Passport holders all 'guaranteed' seats to all away games. However, with Sky coverage a good possibility some may prefer to watch the game at home.
Expect developments as the week continues.
