Town Face Yeovil - Ipswich Town News
The Blues will face Yeovil Town at home in the first round of the Carling Cup. The two clubs have previously met in cup competition on only one occasion, an FA Cup tie back in 1937/38.
On that occasion the Somerset club, then known as Yeovil and Petters, won 2-1 at home.
The sides also met in the Southern League in 1936/37 and 1937/38, the Blues winning twice and drawing twice.
The single-leg Carling Cup tie will be played in the week starting August 22nd, almost certainly on the Tuesday.
