Former Arsenal youngster Dean McDonald has confirmed that he will be signing his one-year deal. TWTD reported last week that the striker or winger had agreed to put pen to paper.
McDonald impressed on a short-term contract last season says he hopes to become a regular during 2005/06: "I managed to do enough in the three months I was here for him to give me this chance and I want to show what I can do.
"I hope to be a part of the first team squad on a regular basis and hopefully I can make my first team debut. I'm looking to make as big an impact as possible."
McDonald, 19, was a schoolboy at Crystal Palace before joining Arsenal's youth set-up. He was released a year ago and had trials with a number of clubs before coming to Town towards the end of 2004. After a trial he was given three months in which to impress in the reserves and in training.
The Lambeth-born player was in the first team squad for the home game with Crewe but failed to make the bench.
