Ferguson Turns Down Move - Ipswich Town News
Portman Road groundsman Alan Ferguson has turned down the job of chief turfsman at the new Wembley. The award-winning pitch tender was interviewed twice by Wembley bosses but decided to remain with the Blues.
Ferguson has been with the Blues nine years and says he is keen to stay with the club: "I have never wanted to leave Ipswich but when when what is going to be the top stadium in the world comes calling, you have to give them the courtesy of listening to what they have to say."
The excellent Portman Road surface has seen Ferguson win six awards during his time with Town.
