Diallo is Owl - Ipswich Town News
Released Town defender Drissa Diallo has joined Sheffield Wednesday on a year's contract. Diallo was not offered a new deal with the Blues this summer after two years with the club.
Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock was happy to have added the former Burnley and Mechelen man to his ranks: "He's an honest defender, quick, hard-working and attacks the ball really well. I'm pleased we've got that type of player."
Guinean defender Diallo was similarly chuffed: "I'm very happy. Two weeks ago I had a chat with the manager and had a very good feeling. Now I'm looking forward to the new season."
Diallo, 32, made 49 appearances for the Blues, failing to score a goal in his time at Portman Road.
