Pablo to Join Málaga - Ipswich Town News
Former Town striker Pablo Couñago is expected to sign a two-year deal with Primera Liga side Málaga on Friday. Couñago, released by the Blues at the end of the season, will undergo a medical before completing his move back to Spain.
The 25-year-old, who is seen as a replacement for ex-Manchester City striker Paulo Wanchope, spent four years with Town after signing on a Bosman from Celta Vigo in the summer of 2001.
Last season the out-of-favour frontman turned down loan moves to Preston North End and Spanish second division side Córdoba.
