Town to Wait on Clarke - Ipswich Town News
New Stoke City manager Johan Boskamp says Town will have to wait five weeks if they want to sign Potters captain Clive Clarke. TWTD reported on Wednesday that the Irish international defender or midfielder was being targeted by the Blues.
Boskamp said: "I told Clive he is not allowed to go. We've only got 14 players, how can you ask to go if we've only got 14 players? I told him to come back in five weeks and maybe it will be different."
Clarke, 25, is out of contract next summer and Stoke would be willing to allow him to leave for a fee of around £200,000 in order to avoid losing him for nothing in a year's time.
