Pair Join Chelmsford - Ipswich Town News
Released pair Jerrome Sobers and Ben Patten have joined Ryman League Premier Division side Chelmsford City. Neither player was offered a new contract by Town at the end of last season.
The duo joined the Blues from Redbridge, then known as Ford United, in February 2002 but failed to make it into the first team.
Sobers joined Brentford on loan at the end of last season and scored on his league debut on the final day of 2004/05.
The pair had been on trial with Chelmsford, who are managed by ex-Redbridge boss Craig Edwards, for the last week and have signed one-year deals.
