Barron on Way Back - Ipswich Town News
Scott Barron is expected to return to action this week after undergoing a second operation for a groin problem at the end of last season. The left-back or wide midfielder is likely to be involved in Thursday's reserve team friendly at Canvey Island (KO 7.30pm).
Fitness coach Simon Thadani told the club site that Barron has made good progress: "Scott has been working well in training and is ready to step up to match action now."
Town's U18 side play a pre-season game at Southwold Town on Tuesday night (KO 6.30pm).
