Academy defender Kurt Robinson won his first England U17 cap as Kenny Swain's side defeated Finland 3-2 at the Nordic Tournament in Iceland. Robinson played the full 90 minutes and prevented a late equaliser when he cleared the ball off the line.
England continue their campaign on Wednesday when they face the Faroe Islands and Sweden on Friday.
Meanwhile, Town's U15 side beat Dundalk 1-0 in their opening game at the Milk Cup tournament in Northern Ireland.
