Peters to Face Daggers - Ipswich Town News

Jaime Peters is in the Town reserve side facing Dagenham and Redbridge at Victoria Road (KO 7.45pm). Peters signed a contract earlier this week after finally receiving his work permit on Monday.

The 18-year-old has already played three games for the Blues. During his trial last summer he turned out for the U18s against Liverpool and the reserves at Needham Market.

The Canadian international scored his first goal in a Town shirt in a friendly against Cambridge United in March having agreed to sign for Town two months earlier.

Peters has played for the senior and U20 Canada sides during the summer and is likely to be somewhere close to match fitness.

Also in the side are Shane Supple, who played the full 90 minutes for the first team at Colchester last night, and Chris Casement and Darryl Knights, who came on as subs at Layer Road.

Scott Barron continues his recovery from the groin operation he underwent at the beginning of the summer.

Town's U18s are in action at Woodbridge Town's Notcutts Park on Thursday night (KO 7.45pm). The FA Youth Cup will be on display.

Reserves: Shane Supple, Sammy Moore, Scott Barron, Cathal Lordan, Chris Casement, James Krause, Jaime Peters, Liam Trotter, Darryl Knights, Danny Haynes, Liam Craig. Subs: Charlie Sheringham, Jack Haverson, Kieran Leabon, Ian Nimmo, Luke Webster.
