Sito Signs - Ipswich Town News

Spanish full-back Sito has agreed to sign a one-year deal with Town. The former Racing Club de Ferrol man turned down an initial offer yesterday but after further talks has decided to join the Blues.

The 25-year-old told the club site: "Ipswich is a big club and I wanted to sign but there were a few contractual problems.

"Now the problems have been sorted out and I've agreed to sign because I believe Ipswich are one of the strongest teams in the Championship and can reach the Premiership."

Born Luis Castro Rodríguez, the full-back has always played in Spain under the name Sito with Castellon, Calahorra and Lugo before joining Racing Club de Ferrol who he left at the end of last season.

The La Coruña-born player is primarily right-sided but looked comfortable at left-back against Colchester.

Sito will almost certainly go straight into the squad for the Cardiff game on Saturday but is a little behind the rest of the squad in terms of fitness and so looks likely to be on the bench.
