Mitchell Close to Return - Ipswich Town News
Reserves skipper Scott Mitchell is two weeks away from returning to training after the ankle operation he underwent in the summer. The 19-year-old right-back or midfielder damaged ligaments when in action for the second string at the end of last season.
Mitchell told the club site: "It's going OK but I am still a few weeks away from getting back to full training.
"Then it will be maybe another two weeks or so after that before I get back to playing matches.
"It's been frustrating but injuries are part and parcel of football and I have to get on with it."
Mitchell made two senior starts last season, one in each of the cup competitions. In 2003/04 he made two substitute league appearances.
