U18s Lose at Lowestoft - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18s lost 3-2 at Lowestoft Town in a pre-season friendly on Sunday afternoon. Scott Barron and Charlie Sheringham netted for the Blues but two goals from Jamie Godbold and one from Bradley Hough gave the home side a victory in a testimonial for Lowestoft stalwart Ian Smith.
Barron continued his comeback after a summer groin operation and played most of the 90 minutes.
The Blues fielded a number of trialists, including Woodbridge Town keeper Marcus Garnham and Czech full-back Petr Janáček, who also played in Thursday's friendly at Woodbridge.
