Supple Called Up - Ipswich Town News

Goalkeeper Shane Supple has been called into the Republic of Ireland U19 squad for two friendlies against Bulgaria. The Irish youngsters face the Bulgarians on 23rd and 25th August in Sofia.

The matches are preparation for the UEFA U19 Championship First phase qualifying stage when Ireland take on Italy, Northern Ireland and Moldova in Cork, in matches played in October.

Town striker Billy Clarke, who is recovering from a knee injury suffered at the end of last season, was originally included in the squad but has been withdrawn.

Also in Sean McCaffrey's party is midfielder John Paul Kelly who came on trial at Portman Road last season and who now plays for Bohemians back in his home country.
