A Sunday tabloid claims Town have had a £400,000 bid for QPR midfielder Marc Bircham turned down. Bircham is a Canada team-mate of Jason De Vos and Jaime Peters.
The less than convincing piece suggests that Joe Royle will make another move for the ex-Millwall man, however £400,000 is likely to be well beyond Town's means at present and Royle has repeatedly stated his intention to bring in another defender.
