Spanish Trialist Vales - Ipswich Town News
Town's second Spanish trialist of the summer is former Athletic Bilbao defender Óscar Vales. The 30-year-old has a week in which to impress Joe Royle and his staff.
Vales, 6ft tall, started his career with Athletic Bilbao, his local club, making his debut in the 1993/94 season. He moved on to Celta Vigo for the 97/98 and 98/99 seasons before returning to Bilbao.
After making few appearances over the last two seasons, the Spaniard was released in the summer.
