Stewart Back for United - Ipswich Town News

Marcus Stewart will almost certainly be back in Town's line-up for Saturday's top of the table clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford. The striker missed out at Maine Road on Tuesday with a thigh strain picked up against Southampton, but has recovered enough to start against United. Alun Armstrong is likely to join Stewart's City replacement David Johnson on the bench after missing out at Maine Road due to being cup-tied.

Town's players didn't get the earliest of night's after Tuesday's Worthington Cup match with Manchester City. Town flew back in order to make sure of an early return, however due to bags going missing players didn't get home until 3.30pm. TWTD bumped into Jamie Clapham whilst out shopping in town yesterday afternoon who commented: "I'm knackered." Something travelling fans could certainly relate to.

The first leg of the Worthington Cup game with Birmingham will be at Portman Road on Tuesday 9th January at 7.45pm. Early reports yesterday had suggested the game would be on the Wednesday, but this has proved not to be the case.
