McEveley: Style Suits Me - Ipswich Town News
New Town loan signing Jay McEveley says he joined the Blues ahead of other teams because the club's passing style suits him. The one time England U21 international had the opportunity to join other clubs but jumped at the chance to sign for Town.
McEveley told the club site: "I've had offers to go elsewhere but once I found out that Ipswich wanted me, my mind was made up straight away.
"I want and need to play first team football but it's important that the club I join plays in a style that suits my game.
"I know Ipswich like to pass the ball around and play good football, more than some Championship teams do who play the long ball, so that was a big reason to come here.
"I'm looking forward to getting started now and hopefully I can help Ipswich enjoy a good run while I'm here as well."
