Town's Danns Craze - Ipswich Town News
Town are keeping tabs on Colchester United midfielder Neil Danns. The former Blackburn player has impressed since joining the U's for a nominal fee last December having spent two months on loan at Layer Road earlier on in the 2004/05 season.
The 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season and is tipped for a move to a higher division with the Blues amongst a number of clubs monitoring his progress.
An all-action midfielder, Danns has made 42 appearances for the U's, scoring 13 goals. The 5ft 9in tall Liverpool-born player made his debut for Blackburn in the 2002 UEFA Cup tie against CSKA Sofia, the first of seven appearances for the Ewood Park club.
While with Rovers, Danns went out on loan at Blackpool and Hartlepool before his initial spell at Colchester.
