Former Blue Alun Armstrong is on trial at Brian Talbot's Oxford United. Armstrong has been without a club since leaving Darlington at the end of last season and has been training with Town.

The 30-year-old could have stayed at Darlington but preferred to find a club closer to his family home in the Ipswich area.
