Armstrong at Colchester - Ipswich Town News
Former Blue Alun Armstrong is on trial at Colchester United. The 30-year-old frontman spent time with Brian Talbot's Oxford United last week and has not ruled out a move to the Kassam Stadium.
Armstrong, who spent a day training with Colchester earlier in the season, will play for their reserves against the MK Dons at Layer Road on Wednesday.
The ex-Stockport and Middlesbrough man has been training with Town at Playford Road while he looks for a new club, having left Darlington at the end of last season.
Armstrong has also held talks with Wycombe Wanderers boss and former Town coach John Gorman.
