Mahon Loan Bid Fails - Ipswich Town News
Town have failed to lure former loanee Alan Mahon back to Portman Road on another short-term spell. Wigan have confirmed that they turned down a bid from the Blues earlier today.
Latics boss Paul Jewell says he is not willing to allow the 27-year-old Irishman to depart the JJB Stadium: "Everyone has a part to play in the squad, and as far as I am concerned nobody will be leaving us at any point in the near future."
Town are after a loan midfielder to replace the injured Ian Westlake who is out of action until December at the earliest.
