Pair's Release Requested - Ipswich Town News

Town have confirmed that they have requested the release of Owen Garvan and Shane Supple from the Irish U19 squad. TWTD reported yesterday that the Blues were likely to ask if the pair could remain at Portman Road with the Ireland games clashing with two league fixtures.

Striker Billy Clarke is also included in the squad and Town are happy for the Corkman to play in the UEFA U19 European Championship qualifiers later this month. The Irish host the group-based tournament and take on Italy, Moldova and Northern Ireland.

The matches coincide with Town's games against Reading and Coventry.
