Proudlock Joins on Loan - Ipswich Town News
On-trial striker Adam Proudlock has joined Town on a three-month loan. The frontman is due in court in Telford later today to answer a drink-driving charge.
FIFA rules mean that Proudlock, sacked by Sheffield Wednesday last month, could not make a permanent move outside the transfer window. However, the 24-year-old's dismissal by the Owls was appealed by the PFA and was therefore temporarily suspended allowing him to make a loan switch.
Boss Joe Royle has warned the striker that he needs to clean up his act while at Portman Road: "Adam knows this is his last chance. He will get all the help and encouragement he needs, but it is down to him and I'm sure he is well aware of that."
Proudlock could go straight into the Town squad for Sunday's game at Reading.
