Garvan Chances Slim - Ipswich Town News
Physio Dave Williams says that midfielder Owen Garvan is in with little chance of playing at Brighton on Saturday due to his ankle injury. Kevin Horlock is already ruled out with a rib problem.
Williams told the club site: "Owen has sprained the ligaments on the outside of his ankle.
"He is making progress and is back doing light running but no more than that at the moment.
"The joint is not up to the stress of changing direction so, looking at it with three days to matchday, his chances of playing at Brighton are very slim.
"Hopefully, he will be back in contention for the Derby game next Wednesday which looks a much more likely return date."
Ian Westlake, also out with an ankle problem, is similarly targeting the Derby match but appears to have more of a chance of being fit for the Plymouth match a week on Saturday.
