Deano: I Want a Goal! - Ipswich Town News
Striker Dean Bowditch says he is desperate to break his goal drought. The 19-year-old last scored for the Town first team in October 2004 against Coventry, although he was on the scoresheet once during his loan spell with Burnley at the end of last season.
Bowditch said: "I don't care if the ball rebounds into the net off my face and I'm left with a bloodied nose. I just want to break my current run.
"I am a confident person and I know I'm good enough. I may not be as physically strong as some strikers but that's not my game. I feel I've been doing everything else but score. I just need a bit of luck and if I keep going the goals will return."
The England U19 international has been linked with a January move to West Ham but is giving no indication as to whether he would welcome a switch: "We will have to wait and see what happens then."
