Garvan Misses Out - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Owen Garvan will miss Saturday's trip to Coventry after his ankle injury was discovered to be worse than first thought. The Irishman has a chipped bone but manager Joe Royle isn't expecting the 17-year-old to be out for too much longer.
Royle said: "It is a bit worse than we initially thought. The swelling has gone down and a scan has shown the ankle bone has a chip.
"Owen won't be available for the weekend but we hope to have him back quite quickly after that."
New signing Vemund Brekke Skard is set to see a specialist due to a groin problem. The former Brumunddal player has had the injury for a while and played through it during the Norwegian season.
