Reserves Beat Charlton - Ipswich Town News

Goals from Ian Westlake, Dean Bowditch, Liam Craig and Billy Clarke saw the reserves to a 4-2 win at Charlton. Town dominated throughout and could have scored more goals.

Westlake opened the scoring in the fourth minute, lashing the ball into the corner of the net on the half volley.

Jay Bothroyd hit back for the Addicks on 24, three minutes before Westlake, just back after an ankle problem, was replaced with Danny Haynes.

Bowditch put the Blues back in front two minutes after the break, taking the ball in from the left and hitting a shot which deflected past Rob Elliot.

Town's third came on 55, Liam Craig riding a number of tackles and hitting the net after his shot had deflected off a defender.

Kevin Lisbie, the anti-hero of the East Anglian derby during his loan spell with Norwich earlier in the season, pulled one back for the home side, before Billy Clarke completed the scoring from 20 yards.

Reserves: Supple, Moore, Barron, Westlake (Haynes 27), Collins, Casement, Peters, Trotter, Bowditch, Clarke (Knights 89), Craig. Unused: Lordan, Ainsley.
