Craig Move Confirmed - Ipswich Town News

Falkirk head coach John Hughes has confirmed that Town midfielder Liam Craig will sign for the Bairns until the end of the season. TWTD reported on Monday that last season's FA Youth Cup-winning captain was set for a move to the SPL side.

Hughes says the move to Falkirk will give the 19-year-old a chance to make his mark: "Liam is a young player who is hungry to establish himself.

"We will give him the platform, but it is up to him to come here and work hard at it.

"He is very versatile, playing anywhere on the left hand side, and he should be included in the squad for this weekend's game against Dundee United."

Craig is set to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper. The former Hearts schoolboy was told at the end of last week that he, along with Kevin Horlock, Aidan Collins and Cathal Lordan, would not be kept on at the end of the season.

Town boss Joe Royle says he has received no further interest in his players and contrary to repeated newspaper speculation has not had any enquiries regarding the availability of Dean Bowditch.
