Vetting Process Audited - Ipswich Town News
Town have announced that Nigel Smith, an independent auditor and former senior partner of KPMG, will review the club's process of vetting potential significant investors. The Blues have been criticised for their failure to discover Michael Anderson's previous links with Kettering and Aldershot prior to announcing his appointment to the board last week.
Chief executive Derek Bowden told the club site: "Nigel Smith oversees the club's risk register which covers many aspects of the business, and clearly, with lessons learned from this recent episode, it is prudent to ensure that our checking process is sound."
