No Go for Coe - Ipswich Town News
Boss Joe Royle says the Blues will not be taking their interest in Newmarket Town defender Darren Coe any further. The 25-year-old played for the reserves on Monday as Town rested several of the players who will be involved in tonight's Youth Cup game at Liverpool.
Royle said: "Darren did fine but at 25 he is probably going to struggle to make it at this level now. We have looked at him for a while and he is a good player at his standard.
"He helped us out and we had a closer look but we have Chris Casement to come back in for the reserves when he is not involved in the youth team."
Royle is continuing to search for another player to add to his squad before the end of January with a central defender his priority.
