Welcome to the Cheap Seats! - Ipswich Town News

Town have announced that seats prices for the Worthington Cup home leg with Crewe Alexandra will be reduced. This is consistent with Town's policy of the last few years when playing less attractive sides in this increasingly underwhelming competition. The game will be played on Tuesday 21st September at 7.45pm. Prices are £12 and £10 for adults, £4 and £3 for juniors with concessions priced at £7. Tickets will be on sale from 6th September. David Sheepshanks said: "We have taken the decision to hold the discounted prices for this match to encourage as many supporters as possible to enjoy Cup football at Portman Road. This is a very important competition for us and we hope to gather as much support in numbers as possible - we all know that the ultimate prize of Final at Wembley is great not only for the players but most especially our fans."

Town reserves beat Bristol Rovers reserves 2-1 last night at the Memorial Ground, Bristol. Town were on top for most of the game with goals coming from Neil Midgley (pen) and Academy defender Stephen Moffat.

The club are offering those fans currently without season tickets the chance to purchase them for the rest of the season.

There will be a marquee and other corporate type stuff at the Sky game with Manchester City on September 26th.

Matt Holland and Fabian Wilnis will be at the Co-op tomorrow afternoon between 2 and 3pm. The pair are sadly not taking part in an edition of Celebrity Supermarket Sweep, but will be there to open the latest outlet of the club's Punch brand.

Matt Holland (getting those public appearances in en masse once more) and Jamie Clapham will be opening a charity shop raising funds for The Foyer of Ipswich on September 6th at 1pm. The new shop is in Grimwade Street.
