Barnsley After Horlock - Ipswich Town News
League One side Barnsley are the latest club to show an interest in departing Town midfielder Kevin Horlock. Oldham ended their chase for the 33-year-old as his wages are out of their price range.
Boss Joe Royle said: "Barnsley are keen on Kevin but nothing has been sorted out and I certainly wouldn't rule out the possibility of him staying with us.
"If that turns out to be the case he will be treated just the same as anyone else on the payroll. It will be up to Kevin to play himself into the team, which is exactly how it is for any player."
Horlock has been told he will not be offered a new deal when his current contract is up at the end of the season.
Championship Millwall have also been reported to have shown an interest in the former Northern Ireland international.
