Chairboys Bow for Dean - Ipswich Town News

Striker Dean Bowditch made the first appearance of his loan spell at Wycombe on Saturday as the Chairboys drew 1-1 at home to Stockport. The 19-year-old, on loan for three months, came on as a 61st minute substitute.

Prior to the game Bowditch said he was determined to score goals in his time at the Causeway stadium: "It's a good opportunity for me to play some regular league football and I'm looking forward to it.

"I asked the boss if he could try and sort me out a loan move because I feel I need to be playing regularly to progress and I'm delighted it's worked out.

"I'm going to Wycombe to work hard, help the team carry on pushing for promotion and, hopefully, score a few goals myself."

Also in Wycombe boss John Gorman's side was Aidan Collins, playing the third full game of his one-month spell with the Chairboys.

Gerard Nash, called into the Irish U21 squad last week, completed the third 90 minutes of his month at Hartlepool as the lost 3-0 at home to Blackpool on Saturday.

Meanwhile, there were few mentions of the Blues in the weekend tabloids. A Scottish paper reported that Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies had denied that Town had made a loan bid for striker Gary McDonald.
