Khaled Ibrahem Khalaf el-Jarbary, the mayor of Hamrin, says he plans to organise a match between two teams wearing the sets of kit recently collected by Town supporters. TWTD, Ipswich Town Ist, the US military and the club combined to send around 500 shirts and other kit to the Iraqi town.
On receiving the shirts from the US Army el-Jarbary said: "This makes me very happy. It is a good feeling knowing you military guys take care of the civilians.
"There will be a lot of happy young people. The teams will be very happy."
