Chili Peppers in Talks - Ipswich Town News
Town have confirmed that US rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the bands they are talking to about playing a concert at Portman Road this summer.
Terry Baxter, the club's head of media and communications, says that confirmation of the gig is close: "We've talked to a number of groups and we are currently in talks with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
"However, we're not yet in a position to make an announcement about the concert yet."
Another band who are amongst those in the running to play Portman Road in the summer are Bon Jovi. The 80s group were set to play last year but postponed their European tour for 12 months.
