Town Bid In Already - Ipswich Town News

Town's regular Thursday afternoon press conference turned out to be a bit more exciting than usual with the sale of David Johnson surprisingly announced. Although the story had been doing the rounds for the last 24 hours, manager George Burley had told several reporters that no deal was done just hours beforehand.

As well as the revelations about Johnson (see previous mails) Town also announced that they already have a bid in for a striker to replace Johnson. No hint was given as to the identity of the player other than that he is at a Premiership club.
