Town are reported to be amongst a number of Championship clubs keeping an eye on Sheffield United defender Simon Francis. The 21-year-old is currently impressing while on loan at Tranmere Rovers in League One.
Leeds United, Hull City and Preston North End are also said to be interested in the former Bradford City player.
Francis, who left Valley Parade for Bramall Lane for £200,000 in 2004, is in Peter Taylor's Football League England U21 squad playing Italy at Hull's KC Stadium later in the month.
