McEveley Return to Action - Ipswich Town News

Returning loanee Jay McEveley hopes to be back in action with the Blues before the end of the season. It had been thought that the one-time England U21 international's 2005/06 was over after he underwent surgery for a medial ligament injury sustained at Cardiff in November.

However, the Blackburn player told the club site that he hopes to be involved again before the season's climax: "I did think that would be it for the year when I had surgery but everything's gone well.

"The gaffer wanted me to come back as soon as I was running again, so I came down over the weekend and will be working with the physio staff here.

"I'm running OK now and, hopefully, in another couple of weeks, I'll be back in full training.

"After that, it will be a case of playing reserve team games to get my match fitness up.

"If things go according to plan, I should be available again by about the middle of March."
