Irish Duo Withdrawn - Ipswich Town News
As expected, Owen Garvan and Shane Supple have been withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland U19 squad. However, Billy Clarke will be allowed to travel with the Irish side for a La Manga-based tournament which starts at the end of the month.
Ireland take on Scotland on February 27th, Norway on March 1st and finally Finland on March 3rd. The games are preparation for U19 European Championship qualifiers being played in Slovakia in May.
Garvan and Supple are currently regulars in the Town first team and the tournament clashes with a number of domestic fixtures. Clarke, who has not been involved in a first team squad since returning from an elbow injury, will meet up with the rest of the Irish party on Saturday.
