Reserves Relegated? - Ipswich Town News
Town's reserves could find themselves excluded from the FA Premier Reserve League (South) next season. New recommendations from the Premier League would prevent clubs in the Football League from taking on their second string sides.
The 20 clubs currently in the Premiership have the final say on whether former top flight clubs like Town, Norwich City, Coventry City and Southampton will be ousted.
Town have played in the FA Premier Reserve League (South) since 2000/01, winning the division the following season. If the proposals go through, the Blues would be forced to return to the Pontins Combination League.
