Barron Extends Stay - Ipswich Town News
Full-back Scott Barron has put pen to paper on a new deal which will keep him at Portman Road until June 2008. Barron has established himself in the Town starting line-up since coming into the side over the Christmas period having spent a year on the sidelines with a groin injury.
The 20-year-old told the club site: "I'm delighted to have been offered and signed a new contract.
"I knew it was a big season for me, what with me being out of contract in the summer, but always felt that if I could break in to the side then a new deal would follow.
"Obviously being out injured for virtually the whole year last season didn't help me progress, but this season has been great for me.
"I am getting a regular run in the side and am learning all the time from the players around me."
