Preston Match Off - Ipswich Town News
Town's game at Preston North End on Saturday has been postponed due to the pitch being unplayable. Referee Graham Salisbury undertook a pitch inspection at 3pm after heavy snow in Lancashire in the latter part of the week.
Temperatures are currently freezing and more bad weather is anticipated overnight.
Preston general manager Ben Rhodes said that the early pitch inspection was in part to prevent Town fans making an unnecessary journey to the North-West: "We wanted to make an early decision before the Ipswich team and fans set off on the long trip up here.
"After our long trip to Plymouth earlier in the season only to find the game off, we wanted to keep disruption to a minimum."
