De Vos a Doubt - Ipswich Town News

Town could be without both their first choice central defenders when the face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday. Richard Naylor could miss the next two games due to last night's red card, while Jason De Vos has an eye injury.

The Canadian received a blow to the left eye towards the end of the first half of last night's game at Preston and required stitches after the game. The Blues were briefly down to eight men while the former Wigan man was bandaged up and Ricardo Fuller underwent treatment from an unrelated incident. De Vos's swollen eye is currently closed.

Naylor is awaiting the results of his appeal into his second sending off of the season.

Fabian Wilnis will move into the centre if either of the regular centre-half pairing misses out with Jay McEveley, impressive for the reserves against Watford on Tuesday, coming in if both are out.

Young Northern Irishman Chris Casement, who has been offered a two-year professional contract by the Blues, may get a call to take a place on the bench.
