Academy Trio Released - Ipswich Town News

TWTD understands that Town have released academy trio Charlie Sheringham, Stuart Ainsley and Jack Haverson. Striker Sheringham is the highest profile of the three being the son of West Ham striker Teddy and having been a sub in last season's FA Youth Cup final win.

Full-back or defender Ainsley, son of 1980s youth player George and brother of current U16 regular Jack, was on the bench for the final and played in some of the earlier rounds.

Centre-half Haverson, whose father Paul is the chief scout at West Ham, also played in some of the early rounds of the Youth Cup.

Town have already told youngsters Cathal Lordan, Aidan Collins and Liam Craig that will not be kept on at the end of the season. Craig joined Falkirk in the SPL in January.
