Royle on Proudlock Exit - Ipswich Town News
Boss Joe Royle has confirmed that Adam Proudlock has left Portman Road, as reported by TWTD on Friday. The Blues have paid up the remaining months of the 24-year-old's short-term contract.
Royle says that off-field issues had no bearing on the decision to release Proudlock, previously sacked by Sheffield Wednesday for a series of indiscretions: "We have told Adam that he won't be offered a new contract in the summer and we have agreed to pay him up now.
"It has not worked out the way he would have hoped, but there have been no problems with Adam, certainly no repetition of any of the breaches of discipline that precipitated his move here.”
