Cambridge in Pre-Season - Ipswich Town News
With six games of 2005/06 still to play, details of the 2006/07 pre-season programme are starting to emerge. TWTD has learnt that the Blues will travel to Cambridge United's Abbey Stadium on Saturday, July 29th.
Town are likely to field a reserve side against the U's with the first of the two Lazio friendlies scheduled for Portman Road the previous day.
The Blues are already making plans for the pre-season tour which we understand will take place in the week of July 10th, although no venue or precise dates have as yet been decided.
In previous seasons, with promotion to the Premiership and therefore a later start to the season a possibility, Town have been forced to make their pre-season plans much later than they would have wanted.
